Remember the useful part.

A project note does not need to be a polished journal entry. Its job is to save the measurement, material, or decision you will otherwise forget.

Use five short lines

1. Purpose: What should this object do?
2. Materials: Write down the actual paper weight, fabric type, or thread used.
3. Dimensions: Note both starting size and finished size.
4. One change: Record what you adjusted and why.
5. Next attempt: Choose one thing to repeat or improve.

Tape in a small scrap if you have one. Date the page and give the project a plain name so it is searchable later. A failed sample is still useful evidence: write where it tore, slipped, or became too thick.
